MaMa-Marks: Easy Calculation of Overall Marks for Teachers
MaMa-Marks is a Chrome extension designed specifically for teachers of the OCDSB in Ottawa ON. This free add-on allows teachers to easily obtain an overall level or percentage mark from a MaMa evidence record, which can be included on midterm and final report cards.
With MaMa-Marks, each bubble in an evidence record is converted into a percent, and the extension calculates averages for each expectation, each strand, the term, and optionally, a summative and final mark. Teachers have the flexibility to adjust the weightings for each expectation and each strand, ensuring accurate mark calculations.
One of the key features of MaMa-Marks is the ability to ignore marks as appropriate for individual students, which are then omitted from the average calculations. This allows teachers to exercise their professional judgment when entering report card marks.
